The first 48 hours after a workplace injury shape everything that follows, and most of what protects you takes only a few minutes.

2️⃣ Get medical care and say it happened at work
3️⃣ Write down details and take photos while they're fresh

Your doctor released you with restrictions. Your employer calls with a "light duty" assignment answering phones. You don't want it, and you're wondering if you have to take it.
In Illinois, no one can physically force you to report to a light duty job. But turning down a legitimate offer that fits your written restrictions can end your TTD benefits and give your employer grounds to call it job abandonment.

🏆 CHAMPIONS 🏆

On August 30, the Parente & Norem sponsored Black Mambas defeated the Mighty Swans 5-3 at Center Ice of DuPage to win the C3 Sunday League Championship.

The team is managed by P&N attorney Charlie Bletsas, who also plays defense. After a 10-3 regular season, the Mambas won their semi-final and then took the title game against a familiar rival.

Congratulations to Charlie and the entire roster. Next season starts September 13, and there's a title to defend!
