Many of our kids come from broken homes and bad situations. Our staff and volunteers spend time with them one-on-one, sharing the gospel and getting them to open up.

We’re proud of Trinity, who was in our program for twelve years, before graduating and receiving a scholarship from Starfish to study nursing at UIC.

Here’s what Trinity has to say about receiving the scholarship:

“The starfish scholarship has helped me tremendously financially. It enables me to go to school to further my education as an nursing student while relieving some financial stress on my family. I come from a low-income household , and my parents go above and beyond to ensure the success of my sister and I. The extra financial assistance the starship scholarship has provided allows additional assistance for my parents financially . I appreciate all the help that starfish has provided for my family and I. The mentorship, scholarship, and prayer truly means a lot. Thank you starfish!”
