We are not marching on the 14th. We are asking folks to coordinate watch parties for the concert for the First Amendment. We are tongue in cheek calling it “anything but Trump”... So if you have pub, brewery, restaurant, community center, gathering place where folks can join you in a watch party, let us know. email us at [email protected], put “watch party” in the subject and we will help folks create or find their “best place” to do exactly that. Why? Because things are going to get worse, times will be tough, and we've learned from Minneapolis and history, that knowing your neighbors and creating local community is what enables strength, resistance, and logistics to fight authoritarianism. Now is the time to do that.
Here’s what the NOKINGS folks called for:
“June 14: Rise Up, Sing Out
A Concert for the First Amendment. A Night to Build Community.
On June 14, No Kings and the Committee for the First Amendment are coming together for Rise Up, Sing Out — an uplifting national concert event celebrating the freedoms that belong to all of us: speech, assembly, protest, religion, press, and expression.
Across the country, communities will gather for local watch parties to sing along, make art, share food, connect with neighbors, and take meaningful action together.
Join a Rise Up, Sing Out event near you — or host one in your community.”

A constitutional observer is a “trained community member who observes and documents federal law enforcement activity to help ensure constitutional rights are followed.”
It is a nonviolent, constitutionally protected activity — as fundamental as the First Amendment itself.
They don't intervene.
They watch.
They record.
They bear witness.
With FIFA comes the Feds. We know that there will be many more federal agents in Seattle and the surrounding communities in the coming weeks for the World Cup. This may include more federal immigration enforcement (ICE) agents.
This means that you are more likely to encounter immigration enforcement activity as you go about your daily life. And we want you to be prepared.
Participants in this training will learn:
-What is a constitutional observer
-How to accurately observe and document immigration activity
-Key constitutional rights relevant to observation and documentation
-How to use the V.I.D.E.O. (S.A.L.U.T.E.) framework for clear, consistent reporting
