We're looking for gardeners to donate some of there native plants to our pollinator garden. The garden has started to plant a variety of native plants along the parkway on Central and Edmunds Avenues.
The goal is to assist in the survival of various pollinator that visit the garden throughout the growing season. If you plan on donating please provide a label identifying what
plant species your donating. That will help us in maintaining the proper care of the plant. You can place your donation inside the garden by the shed.
Thanks!!

..and so the donations begin!
On Monday, July 8th, St. Cornelius Food Pantry received 12 bags of red and green lettuce, (with a radish in each). We also included 14 k**b onions, 2 cucumbers and a bag of basil leaves. All this weighed 10 lbs.
Slow start to the browning season, but with the weather heating up, it will be much more.
Thanks to Jan, who heads up
( aka does most, not all, of donation work)
Everyone's hard work to get the garden growing is beginning to show.
Won't you join us?
The more people we have, the more we can donate to help our neighbors. (When you help you also get produce!)
Saturday mornings- See you there!

Here's our notes from Jan for the work day on Saturday!
..............................
A good crew showed up to work at the garden including: Herb, Kathy M., Katherine Z.. Jamie and Del
(to sell Mantis egg cases)
Geo bins were set up and material added; compost bins were attended to. Rosemary plant overwintered at home was returned to the herb bed to begin its summer vacation.
Beds were planted with turnips, butternut squash, acorn squash, yellow summer squash, zucchini, kale and peas.. Yellow markers were added to all planted beds and master list was updated.
A new volunteer, Brandon, appeared and said he lives in the neighborhood and was interested in getting involved so we put him to work with Herb. He said he'd even be happy to work on getting rid of the dreaded creeping charlie on the parkway !!! Bless his heart.
The weather threatened so we all left by 11:30.
Thank you for all your hard work everyone!
