Mayle’s words have never rung truer as I sit down to watch the Bastille Day concerts and fireworks on Cours Mirabeau.
Sean Dwyer is running as a moderate for IL 6th District Illinois House Rep. He's pro-choice and tired of gun violence across our city.
Sean's campaign focuses on public school reform, public safety improvement and reimagining Chicago's Loop post-COVID.

Visited the ruined castle of the Marquis de Sade in Lacoste yesterday, where he was imprisoned after some of his scandalous writings. The sculpture outside is modern. Note that only his mind is imprisoned, and it’s hard to see, but his head rests on books/littérature in place of his neck. Love this piece of art. Love.

Thrilled that Mathéo has been named a Scholastic All American and has closed out his college rugby career with outperformance both on and off the pitch. Kudos, my man. Love you. Let's climb the next hill.

It was my pleasure to sit down with Alexandre Mendel of Le Journal du Dimanche last week for a couple of hours of engaging French conversation about the state of Chicago as a US sanctuary city and the financial stress this places on Chicago's existing minority communities and precarious finances. Un grand merci à Alexandre et au JDD ! Read the full article here:

Still traveling through Greece, and found myself swimming in an incomprehensibly beautiful Elafonisi in Crete on an unseasonably warm November day. Warm water. Pink sand. Choice of protected lagoon or open ocean. Should be a UNESCO site.

In this case, somewhere over the rainbow is Paros, Greece. Thank you, universe.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to all who have served in defense of the United States of America. Our country owes you a debt that can never be fully repaid. Pictured: my father's dog tag.

Congratulations to the Vassar College Men's Rugby side on their dominating 59-10 victory over Seton Hall in their first round playoff game yesterday! This leaves them at a perfect 9-0 on the season. It has been my great pleasure to get to know these young men. They punch far above their weight and I'm proud to call them friends. Vassar's coach describes captain Mathéo Dwyer '25 (pictured in an earlier game) as "Like a plague of Locusts" on the other side. Onward to the semi's this coming weekend v Hofstra!

I'm honored to have earned and accept the endorsement of the Chicago Tribune. If you're a Chicagoan who values quality public education, safe streets and a vibrant economic engine for our city, I'd love your vote! Punch 32 on November 5th- THANK YOU!
