Memorial Day: America at the Crossroads
05/13/2026
The fight for fair representation is happening right now. In the wake of Louisiana v. Callais, voting rights and the future of majority-Black districts stand at a critical crossroads.
Join us for “What’s Next? Justice and the American Map” featuring Cleo Fields, coming directly from the state at the center of this historic legal battle, and Emanuel “Chris” Welch, one of the nation’s highest-ranking Black elected officials. Together, they will discuss how redistricting, race, and the courts are reshaping political power, democracy, and the voice of our communities.
Now more than ever, we must stay informed, engaged, and committed to protecting the vote. ✊🏽🗳️

A meaningful May Day at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition Headquarters
In collaboration with the Chicago Teachers Union and Chicago Votes, we welcomed hundreds of CPS youth to our national headquarters for a civic engagement teach-in focused on voting, advocacy, and community building.
Participants engaged in a robust curriculum, explored voter registration resources, and heard from leading voices in Black political thought and public policy.
We are grateful to our partners, including GoodKids MadCity and Chicago Defender Charities, and to all who contributed to a day centered on empowerment and education.
Together, we continue the work of building a more informed and engaged generation.
Thank you to all who participated! The PUSH is on.
