Today we honor the memory & living legacy of Officer Alejandro “Alex” Valadez, killed in the line of duty seventeen years ago today on the 6000 block of S Hermitage Avenue.

While we are called to remember the names of our city’s heroes, we must also honor the memory for fighting for the values they believed in the city they, and we, love.

God bless the Valadez family for their sacrifice and continued support of Alex’s brothers & sisters in the Chicago Police Department.

Great to meet concerned residents during our Conversation with a Councilor with 008 District Councilor Jason Huff. Special thanks to Carmelo’s for hosting us today. People want safe communities, improved police/public relations, and leaders willing to be responsive to the needs of our neighborhoods.

Thank you to Board of Review Commissioner George Cardenas for joining us & making your team available to help property owners struggling with high assessments.
