Her roots have always been in Hegewisch stemming back to her grandfather, Michael Haddad, who worked in the U.S. Her mother served on the Chicago Police Department for over 20 years as well as her stepfather and uncle who is now an attorney. Columba grade school and continued on to Seton Academy on scholarship. She was very active in high school participating in numerous sports activities and high
school committees and clubs. Samantha received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, and also earned her Master of Public Administration Degree from Governors State University. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society, active in Student Counsel, managed the Campus Community Center, worked as an Ambassador and aid in the Admissions Office, served as Student Resident Advisor and organized large events on campus. In 2005, Samantha was hired by the Chicago Police Department where she continues to serve with honor and distinction. Samantha has a strong commitment to the neighborhood and is involved in neighborhood community groups, improvement projects and public safety. She is an avid volunteer and actively participates in the CAPS program, Chamber of Commerce events, community fundraisers and various other community events.
