Open letter to the Honorable Dick Durbin (US Senator, Democrat), Honorable Jim Oberweis (Illinois State Senator, Republican) & Candidate Sharon Hansen (Libertarian)
My name is Fuji. I am a concerned parent, dedicated educator and your Independent candidate for United States Senate.
China is a mighty dragon. Hong Kong is the heart of the dragon. Inaction is a choice not to act. That is why I have chosen not to remain silent.
I am writing this letter to publically challenge my fellow candidates for United States Senate to an open debate on Hong Kong’s democratic aspirations for liberty, justice and freedom for all.
I personally support every peaceful demonstrator in Hong Kong demanding genuine liberty, authentic justice and real freedom.
Now is the time for an open debate, so you the voter can decide who is the most capable of serving you for the next six years in our United States Senate.
I appreciate your help and ask that you please share and send this email to all concerned friends and family members.
Thank you for your time and considering my request.
Sincerely,
INDEPENDENT WRITE-IN CANDIDATE FUJI SHIOURA

Edward Snowden Immunity Plea Testimony Deal Proposal by Fuji For US Senate 2014
As an independent candidate for the United States Senate, I have volunteers, friends and family members that are Independents, Republicans, Democrats and everything in between. Inasmuch, the collage of opinions of Edward Snowden painted as a whistleblower or traitor is constantly evolving. Nevertheless, it is in our collective national security interest to have him here in the United States.
We must all agree, regardless of ones’ personal opinion of Edward Snowden that to have him remain abroad in a foreign country is unacceptable and dangerous to our national security. A plea deal for testimony of some kind must be seriously and judiciously explored by the media at large and by our elected officials of the United States Government.
Therefore, I believe that Edward Snowden should be encouraged to voluntarily return to the United States under the following conditions to testify before the United States Congress and to the American public:
1) Edward Snowden should receive full immunity for testimony deal from being prosecuted by the Department of Justice or any other governmental body capable of such actions for exchange for a full testimony.
2) Also, all proceedings involving or relating to Edward Snowden should be open to the public via Internet, public cable access, radio and so forth. This would guarantee a fair hearing against adverse legal maneuvers like a suppression order (also known as a gagging order or gag order) may follow in an attempt to prosecute Edward Snowden on yet unforeseen legal maneuvers by the prosecution side.
3) To avoid potential misunderstandings by our Judicial, Legislative or Executive branches of government, prior to Mr. Edward Snowden full immunity prosecution deal from our Department of Justice issuance, I respectfully recommend that our United States Supreme Court consider, review and decide the validity of such an Immunity For Testimony Deal pertaining to Mr. Edward Snowden.
Finally, due to the time sensitive nature of this case, the United States Supreme Court should expeditiously prepare for this event by giving precedence to the DOJ full immunity for testimony deal.
Every passing hour, day and week will adversely cost the USA and our allies collectively in real economic and international terms. It is in the best interest of our democracy, national security and diplomatic relations in the world community to issue Edward Snowden a full immunity for testimony deal. Immediate and concrete action must be taken before asylum is given to Edward Snowden.
In conclusion, we as a nation must stand together united with the civic courage to always ask questions and unwaveringly demand answers from our elected officials. Please consider contacting our Congressperson, Senator and other elected officials (Governors, Mayors, etc.) and implore them to officially declare their opinion and decision as our elected public servant pertaining to Mr. Edward Snowden.
The Fourth Amendment is every American’s Constitutional right, moral concern and civic responsibility to uphold and defend: from both enemies foreign and domestic. All of us must remember to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Our United States is a constitutional republic with a federal system. The Constitution is the bedrock of our American system. Our government must be bound by the United States Constitution. Our government is not all-powerful but specifically limited to the functions and purposes enumerated in the Constitution. Legislation, regardless of how unpopular or popular, is supposed to be consistent with our Constitution, and any laws that conflict with our Constitution are invalid.
There are individuals who are opposed to a constitutional republic with limited powers. Some people may express their loyalty, not to the Constitution, but to the state. I do not want a government of unlimited powers. This is why I am running for the United States Senate in 2014. I and my fellow Americans want to know the whole truth and nothing but the truth. This is why am personally proposing a Full Immunity For Testimony Plea Deal for Edward Snowden as soon as possible.
God Bless America,
Fuji Shioura,
