On March 10, Bryan Bostic was pulled over as he was driving, forced into handcuffs, and pinned to the pavement by Inglewood PD. He told the police "I can't breathe" as they put their knees on his back. They brought Bryan into their police car and when they arrived at the station, Bryan was dead. To this day, Bryan's family still doesn't know what actually killed him. But what we do know is that if IPD didn't force him to the ground and put their knees on his back, he would still be alive today.
This Saturday, we are going out across the country to talk to people about deaths in police custody, whether it is deaths in jails and prisons or in the back of police cruisers, this is another all too common form of murder by law enforcement.
Print out the flyer on FDJ's website and take it out to your local transit station, park, neighborhood gathering, church service, etc to talk to people about Bryan's story and countless stories of people killed in custody. And join hundreds of people across the country for the October 22nd National Day of Protest Against Police Brutality.
