CALLING VOLUNTEERS! 📢

We are in the early stages of some very exciting projects at Palenque LSNA, but we need some help to get them started. We are looking for volunteers to join us Saturday November 7th 10am-1pm at our office to assist in moving items from our basement to our lobby, organizing those items, and loading them into staff vehicles to move to a storage unit.

With Election Day just a few weeks away, our Nuestra Voz Cuenta campaign is well on its way! Everyone please make a plan to vote! 🗳

Our last Parent Neighborhood-Wide brought together parents, youth, and community members for a District 3 CPS Board of Education Candidate Forum and an Elected School Board Teach-In.

The Café y Vota event was a huge success, with full rooms, great conversations, and young people taking the lead. It was so powerful for many families and neighbors to come together to learn, ask questions, and engage in the decisions impacting our communities.

Kelvyn Park High School students took a field trip to Chicago’s Voting Supersite! Students had the opportunity to visit the site, learn about the voting process, and cast their ballots. It’s exciting to see our young people not only learning about civic engagement but actively participating in it!

Do housing prices have you scared? Are you worried you'll be priced out of a neighborhood you love? Have you given up on buying a home? Come to our Halloween-themed family friendly march where there will be treats along the way and opportunities to learn more about affordable housing strategies happening across our neighborhood. 🏘

Our voices. Our schools. Our future.

📣 Our Palenque LSNA Education Team proudly organized an ERSB Teach-In and School Districts 3A & 3B Candidates Forum, creating space for parent mentors to learn, ask questions, and engage in the future of our public schools.

A heartfelt thank you to Darwin School administration for hosting us and to everyone who made this important opportunity for civic engagement possible! Together, our voices matter.
