On Monday June 1, the Day of the Holy Spirit, His Eminence concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with Bishop Spyridon of Chicago and Mid-America (ROCOR), and Bishop Serafim of Kostajnica (Serbian).
The hierarchs were assisted by Archpriest Herman Kincaid, Chancellor, Priest Alexander Koranda, Cathedral Dean, Mitered Archpriest Vladimir Kovalchuk, Archpriest Athanasios Chulakov, Archpriest Tarasiy Maxim, Archpriest Michael Volzhanskii, Priest Antony Alekseyenko, Priest Nikolai Lochmatow, Priest John Kennerk, Priest Daniel Greeson, Priest Joseph Whittaker, Protodeacon Alexander Kichakov, Deacon Paul Garklavs, and Deacon Timothy Heinbokel.
A cross procession was held following the Divine Liturgy.
The Archbishop welcomed the visiting hierarchs to the Cathedral and thanked them for attending the feast. This was Bishop Spyridon and Bishop Serafim’s first time serving at the Cathedral. The Archbishop also honored Protodeacon Thomas Keith on the occasion of his 20th anniversary of ordination.
After the Prayers of Thanksgiving a festival meal was held in the Cathedral courtyard.

On May 31, 2026 the cathedral celebrated its altar feast of Pentecost led by Archbishop Daniel and cathedral clergy. In his sermon the Archbishop remembered how St John Kochurov, like the apostles, went out to a new land to spread the word of the Lord.
Reader Vlodomyr Lymar lead the choir and the cathedral community celebrated in the courtyard together while enjoying a Highlander Folk music group from the Chicago area.

The Great Feast of Pentecost, the Altar Feast of the Cathedral will be May 30, May 31, and June 1 of this year. A special surprise is in the works for our celebration after liturgy and kneeling vespers on Sunday. We welcome all visiting hierarchs and clergy on Holy Spirit Monday. On Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of Chicago and the Midwest welcomed His Grace Bishop Vasily of San Francisco and the West to the Diocesan Cathedral, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Chicago, IL.
On Saturday evening, the bishops attended the All Night Vigil served by the Cathedral Clergy.
Sunday morning, the commemoration of the Myrrhbearing Women, Archbishop Daniel and Bishop Vasily concelebrated the Divine Liturgy and serving with the bishops were Priest Alexander Koranda, Cathedral Dean, Archpriest Tasrasiy Maxim, Deacon Paul Garklavs and Deacon Timothy Heinbokel. The Cathedral Choir was directed by Reader Vladimir Lymar.
Following the liturgy, His Eminence welcomed Bishop Vasily noting the historical ties between the two diocese in his address to the bishop. In return, Bishop Vasily expressed his gratitude for the invitation to visit the Diocese of the Midwest and for the opportunity to serve at the Cathedral. Fr. Alexander presented His Grace with a hand-painted portrait of the historic Cathedral the was done by the hand of one of the Cathedral parishioners.
A festive meal was held following the Prayers of Thanksgiving.

On the great and saving day of the Resurrection of the Lord, Pascha, April 12, His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of Chicago and the Midwest celebrated the festal services at Holy Trinity Cathedral, the Diocesan Cathedral of the Diocese of the Midwest, Chicago, IL.
The Archbishop was joined by cathedral clergy, Priest Alexander Koranda, Cathedral Dean, Archpriest Tasrasiy Maxim, Deacon Paul Garklavs and Deacon Timothy Heinbokel. The Cathedral Choir was directed by Reader Vladimir Lymar.
In the final hour of Holy Saturday, the faithful gathered into the cathedral and services began with Fr. Alexander serving nocturns. At midnight the Archbishop came out of the sanctuary with the Paschal light. Following the procession, Paschal Matins began and “Christ is risen!” was proclaimed. Divine Liturgy was held and concluded with the blessing of the artos and eggs. Paschal baskets were blessed in the parish hall following the dismissal.

On the evening of Holy Thursday Archbishop Daniel along with the cathedral clergy commemorated the Crucifixion of the Lord through the reading of the Twelve Gospels.
