Today, on International Workers Day, our coalition marched alongside 8K protesters at the May Day protest in Union park to demand:
STOP ICE!
DEFEND VOTING RIGHTS!
STOP TRUMP’S RACIST AND REACTIONARY AGENDA!

We are proud to be a coalition made up of and led by unions, Immigrants rights groups, organizations from the National liberation movements including Black, Palestinian, Chicano and Filipino Organizations, and others committed to fighting back against Trump’s racist and reactionary agenda.

As Trump wastes our tax dollars on a desperate, criminal war, he has promised to increase ICE’s violent, reckless presence at home. His attacks on collective bargaining rights for federal workers and voting rights are racist attacks designed to further repress Black workers and other oppressed nationalities.

On International Workers day, we are proud to fight back against these attacks that show the weakness of an empire in decline. We are committed to uniting the combined forces of our movements to fight for all of our demands, defend our communities, and win greater power.

Where: Union Park, 1501 W Randloph St. Our contingent will meet on the South side of Union Park, by the baseball diamonds along W Washington Ave.

The Coalition Against the Trump agenda is proud to endorse the May Day protest at Union Park. May Day has its origins in the working class struggle for the eight-hour work day, and in defense of Immigrants Rights. The historic 2006 May Day march protesting racist attacks by Congress on Immigrants also marks May Day as an important day of struggle for Immigrants Rights. As Trump continues to terrorize Immigrant communities and all oppressed nationalities with racist and illegal ICE raids, we know we must fight back even stronger. THE PEOPLE, UNITED, WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED!

Also, be sure to join us for an art build this Sunday 4.26 at 4 p.m. at 6351 S Cottage Grove Ave to help our coalition prepare for May Day. All are welcome!

Join us this Sunday, April 28th at 4PM for a community art build to prepare for MAY DAY!

Meet at the alliance office at 6351 S Cottage Grove and help paint a banner, make signs and get creative in the lead up to the May 1st protest at Union Park (flyer on 2nd slide)!
