Our department is proud to partner with the Pedroso Center and K(NO)W More Campaign at Northeastern Illinois University during the month of October to bring awareness to domestic violence issues.

There are still three events on the calendar this month to provide a positive space to educate yourself and others about safety concerns surrounding this important topic.

Please join us in welcoming our newest hire to the Northeastern Illinois University Police Department.

Officer Baig was sworn-in yesterday surrounded by family, friends, and coworkers. He has been serving as a security officer at NEIU for the past three years, and he will start the police academy next week.

The Baig's have a rich history here at NEIU, as family memebrs have studied and worked at the university for decades. We're thrilled to have Officer Baig on our team, and feel free to help wish him luck in his new career!

Out with the old, in with the blue (and gold)!

The Northeastern Illinois University Police Department has updated the Patrol fleet with two new squad cars, replacing older units. These vehicles are sporting new graphics that incorporate:

* NEIU's new logo ✅️
* NEIU's color palette ✅️
* Goldie! (how could we not?) ✅️

This refreshed look is in line with our goals of collaboration and inclusion with the entire campus community. Stop and say hi when you see us out and about!

Officer Brian Lambert retired from Northeastern Illinois University last week after 27 years of honorable and dedicated service. His positive demeanor was appreciated by every student, faculty member, and staff member who came into contact with him. He really was synonymous with NEIUPD.
