I took the CTA to the Loop yesterday and was not aware of these temporary changes on the Green and Pink lines. I should have stayed on the Orange line instead of transferring at Roosevelt. Please be aware if this is something that might affect you.

I love attending El Paseo Community Garden’s annual Harvest Fest every year! This year might have been my 10th year joining them and it’s so impressive how both the garden and the festival has grown over that period. This year, the creation of the board and the recognition of the many garden volunteers truly reflect the remarkable level of engagement from the community. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Really enjoyed stopping at the McKinley Park Community Garden Harvest Fest! The weather was perfect and everyone was having fun with the wide variety of activities. I loved that there was a costume contest and was sad I couldn’t stay to judge the winners—in my view, everyone was a winner there!

Just stopped at Plant Chicago’s monthly farmers market. Picked up my bag of veggies from Cedillo's Fresh Produce and checked out a few other vendors. They’re open until 3pm today, possibly with some plants left from their free plant exchange.

Great turnout at our monthly senior bingo gathering! Maggie was out of town but Jenny from 12th Ward Alderwoman Julia Ramirez’s office and Yareli from Commissioner Alma E. Anaya’s office did a great job calling the games and Ricky made sure everything went smoothly. Hope to see everyone next month, same place, Nov 13, 11am-1pm.
