Last week we celebrated our 16th Leadership Celebration, celebrating 130 years of opening doors and building hope. It was an inspiring afternoon filled with connection, hope, and gratitude. Thank you to everyone that attended and helped make this milestone so special - we couldn’t do this work without you!

On Memorial Day, VOA Illinois pauses to remember and honor the brave individuals who gave their lives in service to our country. Join us in expressing our gratitude for their sacrifices and the freedoms they protect.

All veterans within the Chicagoland area are warmly invited to attend this veteran resource fair dedicated to connecting veterans with local employers looking to hire, computer lab access for resume building assistance and application submissions, and obtain valuable resources within the community that supports the individual's wellbeing.

May is Affordable Housing Month, something near and dear to our hearts at VOA Illinois. This month, we recognize the importance of building a strong foundation of safe and stable housing. : As many of you know, this year our Girl Scout troop sold over 20,000 boxes of cookies to support our troop in Englewood. Many of you, our donors, selected the option to donate cookies which meant we received over 300 cases of Girl Scout cookies last week to distribute to the individuals and families we serve in our programs! Not only did the cookie sales help our troop but they also filled our pantries with classics and favorites for our residents to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who purchased a box of cookies and shared the story of our troop. We're so grateful for all of the support!
