The Network is excited to present the Leadership Award Winners for our annual Leading Together Partnership Breakfast!

This year we're celebrating the passage of the TANF Family Violence exclusion and Crisis Assistance Funding reforms and the essential partners who helped pass this legislation.

Thank you to our award recipients for all the work you've done this year to protect, support, and uplift survivors of gender-based violence.

Real change starts when we listen, believe, and act. This must read commentary by our legislative sponsors Representative Canty and Senator Guzman on HB 4990 in the shines a light on the challenges survivors continue to face and why stronger protections and accountability are essential.

HB 4990 will close gaps in the existing law, not only including new protections for digital harassment but also extending confidentiality protections to survivors of domestic violence, dating violence and stalking, not just sexual assault. Additionally, it will introduce new enforcement mechanisms to help keep survivors safe.

Our November 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training is coming up! Running from November 2nd to November 20th.

This training is required for all new domestic violence professionals, including volunteers and interns in the state of Illinois.

The training is also open to anyone who would like to learn how to address domestic violence in their own communities.

The training is free for employees of all IDHS funded DV/SA agencies. Reduced pricing is available for volunteers, students, and Network partner organizations.

Attendees who complete all ten trainings will receive the 40-Hour DV Training Certificate of Completion. LCSW, LSW, LCPC, and LCP CEU's are available upon completion of all sessions.

On Sunday, October 11th, our team of runners came together to challenge themselves running the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. The Run Domestic Violence Out of Town team raised over $177,000 during the course of the year to support survivors of gender-based violence and The Network. Seven of our runners went above and beyond, joining our 2620 Club by raising at least $2,620 instead of the $2,200 minimum!

We are so proud of everything our team accomplished this year, culminating in the marathon itself. Thank you for your dedication, your courage, and your commitment to survivors!

This November in partnership with Women's Justice Institute Chicago, we're holding a Decarceration and Gender-Based Violence training for advocates, activists, and community organizers!

This is a free virtual, 2-day training that focuses on enhancing knowledge and practice around decarceration and supporting criminalized survivors, including self-care.

LCSW & LSW are available upon completion of the training.
