Find the mug shots of the killers in the Horror section and see if they left any clues to the puzzle they sent. On your paper, complete the puzzle and write your name and phone number down to enter our book drawing for “The Only One Left” by Riley Sager.

TODAY from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Step back in time as local youth bring the Wild West back to life in our second Living Library event. As part of our month-long "Chickasha Public Library Goes Out West" celebration, we are hosting The Living Library: Wild West on Saturday, October 10, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The community is invited to experience history like never before as young actors/actresses transform into historical Western legends like Oklahoma's very own Belle Starr, the infamous female outlaw, Frank Eaton aka "Pistol Pete," an American scout, sheriff, cowboy, and author, and of course you can't forget the Queen of the West, Lucille Mulhall, who was a champion steer roper and rider. Our Youth Services Librarian, Mrs. Drew and local library youth ages 3-17 will showcase interactive displays and live wax museum-style portrayals of legendary outlaws, fearless lawmen, brave trailblazers, Indigenous leaders, and pioneering rodeo stars who shaped the American frontier. This immersive educational event offers a unique journey through the Wild, Wild West. Visitors will have the opportunity to walk through a curated path of "living exhibits." Each young participant will stand frozen like a traditional wax museum figure. When attendees step up to an exhibit and press a designated "button," a short, fascinating story about their life, hardships, and adventure in the West will play. Admission is free and community members of all ages our encouraged to attend.

Dust off your cowboy boots and take a walk through the Wild, Wild West.
