Dolly Parton believed in giving back and helping children dream bigger—and this year, we’re celebrating that spirit right here in Butte County! One hundred percent of direct donations to the Butte County Charitable Trust 501(c)(3) stay local and directly cover the cost of the books.

In true Dolly Parton style, tomorrow on September 25--yes, that would be 9/25--we’re inviting our community to join us in giving back to children by supporting Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Butte County. Give Like Dolly Day is coming September 25!

Dolly Parton believed in giving back and helping children dream bigger—and this year, we’re celebrating that spirit right here in Butte County through Give Like Dolly Day.

Since launching in November 2025, over 3,000 children are receiving free books here in Butte County.

On September 25, we’re inviting our community to join us in giving back to children by supporting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Butte County. Your support helps make it possible for children in our community to receive a free, high-quality book every month from birth to age 5.

Dads, grandfathers, and father figures, this one is for you!

Join us for our first Caregiver Café for Dads on September 15 from 6:00–7:30 PM at The Center for Learning and Resilience. Connect with other dads, share stories, talk about the joys and challenges of fatherhood, and enjoy a free dinner!

Come build connections, find support, and be part of a community of dads. Registration is required by September 11.

The Center for Learning and Resilience is saddened by the passing of Dolly Parton and grateful for the incredible legacy she leaves behind.

Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, millions of children have received the gift of a book—and with it, the opportunity to imagine, learn, connect, and dream.

As a center committed to supporting young children and families, we know just how powerful a book can be. Every story shared between a child and a caring adult builds connection, language, confidence, and resilience.

Thank you, Dolly, for believing in children and making sure that a love of reading could reach families everywhere.
