The JUMP! Board and Jefferson County Parks & Rec would like to alert folks that the Sail Shades are NOT meant for Climbing. Please discourage your children and others from climbing on top of the Sail Shades.
If this behavior is NOT STOPPED, the Sail Shades will have to be removed permanently. There are so many other things to climb on - Please don't let kids climb on the shades!

Heads up! The playground will be closed just for Tuesday the 13th.

The scheduled playground closure has been postponed, so the Jump playground will be open today, October 13, 2026

The new closure date will be announced as soon as it is confirmed.

The JUMP! playground has been done and open for a few years now. So what's a Board Member to do?
Get involved with the Jefferson County Public Health Accessible Community Advisory Committee (ACAC) and continue with efforts to make our County more accessible for all!
Check out these new accessibility mats that can be checked out at the Tool Library!
This weekend they're making the Food Court area at the Wooden Boat Festival! Available for use at local beaches too!

Finally got the Communication Board up after it was vandalized and damaged over a year ago! Little Lucy had fun exploring the Board with her mom. If you have children that are pre-verbal or non-verbal, this Board is a way for your child to communicate with you and others.
And it has a FREE App that works with it from Smarty Symbols!

Please come to the Port Townsend community center this Saturday from 10-2 to learn more about the levy that supports Jefferson County Parks and Recreation. This will keep our parks open and all of the recreation services going! JUMP loudly supports this YES vote.

Ben’s Fund provides financial assistance to children and young adults with autism in Washington state to help them access equipment and services they might otherwise be able to obtain.
Families can apply for up to $1,000 per year, per child, to support the needs of their child or young adult.

Please list all household members, then in as many words as you feel comfortable, tell us about your child or your young adult and how the requested equipment or services will support their autism journey.

JUMP! is saddened to hear and share the news that Shaune Salter has passed away. She was the Family Resource Coordinator for Jefferson County Birth to Three Program for many years. She touched many lives in our community and we will miss her.
