FUNDHOLDER HIGHLIGHT:
Theresa (Tia) Stai grew up camping with her mom, dad and older siblings, later discovering Brunet Island where her family continues to gather. Tia and her husband, Scott, honor this family tradition of being together outdoors with a fund that will enhance the opportunity for future generations to have their own family camping experiences.

The Brunet Island State Park Seedling Fund, was established in memory of Tia's parents, Melvin and Betty Gosse. Once it grows into a fully endowed fund, grants will support the quality of park programs and will provide the little extras to park visitors that make their experience unique and special.

From a Foundation Fundholder:
"Serving on the board for the past six years has given me a profound appreciation for what it takes to drive real change in Chippewa County. While the foundation celebrates 25 years of impact, my journey over the last six years has been defined by the incredible people I’ve met along the way.

From my fellow board and committee members to our dedicated staff and passionate fundholders, I have been surrounded by the absolute best of our community. These are the individuals who roll up their sleeves every single day to turn philanthropic visions into reality. Seeing their commitment firsthand and witnessing how our grants directly lift up our neighbors has been an unforgettable experience.

It was an honor to serve alongside this team, and I am incredibly proud of the lasting impact we are making together in Chippewa County."

FUNDHOLDER HIGHLIGHT:
Jerry and Mary Jacobson established the Gerald H. and Ann C. Jacobson Fund to honor Jerry’s parents, Gerald and Ann, creating a lasting way to remember their family while giving back to the community they call home.

Gerald loved the outdoors and was a fisherman and a small game and deer hunter. For that reason, this Field of Interest Fund supports grants in the areas of wildlife and the habitats of parks in Chippewa County.

From Foundation Fundholders:
"We appreciate the community foundation as a valuable and efficient resource for memorials, legacy planning, and community building. We trust the Foundation’s efforts since everyone involved, both staff and volunteer leaders, live close to where needs meet resources.

As our mom, Dolores Hebert, neared the end of her life, we wanted to both thank the community and fund nonprofits whose missions reflected her values by establishing a named fund. The Foundation showed her remarkable kindness and respect, telling Dolores’ story in ways that left her feeling valued. We are also glad to have the opportunity to fund the county’s future wellbeing in our planned giving.

Congratulations on a remarkable first 25 years!"
