🚨🚨🚨🚒🚒🚒🚨🚨🚨

We proudly celebrate the grand reopening of Station 2 located at 305 N Choctaw Road. Choctaw Fire Station 2 is now officially staffed 24/7/365 as of 07:00 am today. This gives the Choctaw Fire Department two stations staffed 24hrs a day. This will improve response times and coverage throughout our great community.

The station has been under renovation to prepare for 24hour staffing. Majority of the renovations was completed by your Choctaw Firefighters. The improvements included Sheetrock repair, paint, flooring, and cabinets.

The Choctaw Fire Department would like to say THANK YOU to the City Council, City Staff, and the great citizens for the continued support.

Some days are difficult. Today is one of those days.

Today we celebrate the memories with Firefighter Nelson who left us way too soon. Today is his birthday and while he isn’t here with us to celebrate, we promise to never forget him.

We will always remember and treasure the time we had.

He is and will always be, one of us.

Good morning, Choctaw!

Dangerous heat and wildfire threat continue across our city and county.

Reminder that we are still under a county issued burn ban, meaning no open burning (grills and approved outdoor cooking devices are allowed but with extreme caution).

We are hopeful for a break in the hot temps and possible rain chances soon!

Today we grieve as a fellow firefighter is laid to rest. It is one of the most difficult things to do, to lay a fellow firefighter to rest.

This week we were honored to be a part of sending him home one final time.

Rest in peace, Firefighter, Joe Flake.

Today we pause to remember the terrible attack of September 11, 2001.

Many of us remember exactly where we were and what we were doing.

As we pause and reflect, let us also remember the pride and commitment we made to be more humble, kind, patriotic, and to never forget.

We are truly better together.

Good news post!

Your Choctaw Fire Department has run numerous critical calls lately, from cardiac arrests, to bad vehicle accidents, to dangerous heat related calls and fires….

But, last week we were called to help rescue this young deer who had got stuck in a fence.

With a little work and some creative ideas, we were able to free the deer and we are happy to report that it suffered no injuries!

Sometimes, it’s the little victories that keep us going during the tough times.

We hope everyone has a great week and as always, we are here for you!
