A few of the linemen helping to keep power flowing across the GRDA system in the early 2000s were (from left) Dale Willis, Gary Cupp, Jim Pierson and (below) Randy Burgess.

Since the very beginnings of GRDA, linemen have played a critical role in building, maintaining and repairing the high voltage lines that carry abundant, reliable GRDA electricity to customers across Oklahoma and into the surrounding states.

Celebrating Public Power Week, October 4–10!

GRDA is proud to partner with 14 Oklahoma public power communities, providing the wholesale electricity that helps power homes, businesses and hometowns across the state. These locally owned utilities do more than keep the lights on—they help strengthen the communities they serve.

Together, GRDA’s public power communities return approximately $35 million annually to city general funds, helping support local services and quality of life.

That’s the power of public power—and a partnership GRDA is proud to be part of.
