We would like to thank everyone who came out on Saturday and supported us at our Fish Fry! We had a great turnout and served approximately 1200 people and 400 togo plates. We have the best community and are grateful for everyone’s support. We would also like to thank everyone that played a part in making this year a success. Whether it was preparing things in the weeks leading up to the fish fry, cooking, serving, taking out trash, doing dishes, cleaning up, etc., we appreciate the help more than you will ever know! Last but not least, we would like to thank each and every one of our sponsors who made this event possible! Thank you!!

Winner of the t-shirt was Derrick Compton, and he has already been notified!

Edit: As of 6:15pm The Early Childhood Shelter is open.
There is a storm heading our way that is producing large hail and some rotation at times. Please be weather aware. The school is monitoring the weather and will open the shelter if it is needed.

04/26/2026

⛈️❗️Just a couple of reminders regarding storm season and public shelters. ⛈️❗️

🌪️The Early Childhood Center is a public shelter and is regulated by school staff. If a tornado warning is issued for our area, staff will open the shelter to the public. Use the north doors for entrance. The shelter is the school cafeteria and therefore animals are not allowed, and smoking is also prohibited.

🌪️The public storm shelter located next to the city hall is in need of repairs and is closed until further notice.

🚨 The tornado sirens are meant to be an outdoor warning system; they are not designed to alert you while indoors.

📻 📱 You should have more than one way to alert you for weather emergencies, such as emergency alerts and apps on your cell phone, or a weather radio.

🚒 During severe weather the Fire Department is busy responding to emergencies, storm spotting and providing weather condition updates to Emergency Management who then passes the information along to the National Weather Service. This page is not intended to be used as an emergency alert system, as we are not able to update this page frequently and it is not able to be monitored 24/7.
