It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Tony Thurman, a longtime volunteer of the Georgetown Fellowship Volunteer Fire Department.

Tony proudly served our department as GT28, giving his time, dedication, and service to the Georgetown community. His commitment to helping others and his years of service will never be forgotten.

Today, we honor not only the firefighter he was, but the man, friend, and fellow volunteer who meant so much to those who served alongside him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Thurman family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving Tony.

Rest easy, GT28. Your watch is over. We’ll take it from here. 🚒❤️

Today, we remember September 11, 2001, and the innocent lives lost that day.

We especially honor the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other first responders who answered the call with extraordinary courage and selflessness. Many made the ultimate sacrifice while working to save others.

We remember their bravery, we honor their service, and we keep their families in our thoughts and prayers.

We will never forget.

We loved being a part of the PWG 13th Annual Athletic Youth Camp in Eight Mile yesterday. What a great way to cool down on a hot summer day!

Yesterday was a great day at the Mobile County Firefighter Competition at Grand Bay Fire Station. Our team gave it everything and finished 3rd overall across all events.

Grateful for the chance to compete, the support, and the good times with everyone involved.

Sharing a few photos from the day!
