Anne Arundel South County Democratic Club Join us! President Courtney Buiniskis Membership is open to all registered Democrats.

The SOCODEMS is an activist and social club located in Southern AA County MD dedicated to representing Democrats and helping to elect Do-Something Democrats in South County. Formed more than 30 years ago, the South County Democratic Club is actively involved in the South County community, advancing progressive policies and supporting Democratic candidates who are also dedicated to these ideals. Monthly meetings are held at Pirates Cove Restaurant in Galesville, MD on the first Wednesday evening of the month. We host a variety of guest speakers on topics of community and political interest and welcome visitors.

As a Club that cares deeply about South County and our community, we understand how important it is to have a Senator who listens, shows up, and understands the needs of the people she represents.

Senator Henson and her team are hosting a massive District 30 Weekend of Action, and we need your help to keep our community blue!

This Saturday and Sunday, join State Senator Shaneka Henson, our local delegates, and your fellow neighbors to talk directly with voters.

Here is how you can get involved:

Saturday, August 29: South County Canvass (Edgewater)
· Who: Led by State Senator Shaneka Henson and Delegate candidate Matt Johnston

· When: Launching at 10:00 AM

· Where: 275 West St, Suite 70, Annapolis, MD 21401 (We will launch from the office and head out to knock on doors in Edgewater)

Sunday, August 30: Annapolis Canvass
· Who: Led by State Senator Shaneka Henson, Delegate Dana Jones, and Delegate Dylan Behler

· When: Launching at 10:00 AM

· Where: 275 West St, Suite 70, Annapolis, MD 21401 (Knocking doors right here in Annapolis)

It's not too late!!

We need to show our strength in the July 4th parades in Shady Side and Galesville!

Our great friends VK Holtzendorf and Mike Shay have graciously offered their farm, Red Top Farm (1392 West River Road), as our gathering place for donuts, coffee, cool beverages, and decorating on Saturday morning. We will gather at 8:45 AM July 4th for food, coffee, and decorating. The parade will begin at 10 AM and last until about 11:00 or 11:30 AM.

We then walk back to the farm to complete the roundtrip and get ready to head to Galesville for their 1 PM parade launch.

Candidate Meet and Greet for CD5

This month, the South County Dem Club will host candidates Wala Blegay, Alexis Solis and Dave Sundberg for the Congressional District 5 seat tomorrow, Tuesday, May 12, at Galesville Memorial Hall, 925 Main Street.

Please join other club members as we continue to identify candidates that best represent us in South County. Get your questions answered face to face.

We will also hear from our own club member Joy Crosser about exciting voter registration opportunities in the county. Doors open at 6 p.m., program begins at 6:30 p.m. Pizza will be served!
