An ally who will have our backs in HD-31 🐝

Noah Spinner has called Summit County home his entire life. He’s an Eagle Scout, a Cuyahoga Falls Library trustee, an attorney, and a Greater Akron Chamber 30 for the Future honoree.

He will vote for the Ohio Fairness Act and a statewide ban on conversion therapy, and he’s committed to a state budget that invests in healthcare and public schools, not culture war attacks on our trans neighbors. With family and close friends in our community, he’s promised to have our backs every step of the way.

Throwing trans people under the bus saves no one.

This week Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur released two campaign ads attacking “transgender ideology” in schools. It bought her nothing. Within hours, Republicans called her a liar and attacked her anyway. 🏳️‍⚧️

These ads are cruel, harmful, and unnecessary. They target trans kids, who deserve love, safety, and support. As a nonpartisan PAC, we will proudly stand up for our trans brothers and sisters whenever they are under attack, from either party.

To every trans Ohioan: we will never trade you for a vote. Not this election. Not ever. Our fight is for equality for ALL. 💙

That’s what Elon Musk has reportedly cleared his super PAC to spend this midterm. Its first ads are anti-trans attacks, and Ohio is one of four states on the list, with spots running online and on streaming. 💸

Axios reports the ads aren’t built to change minds. They’re built to drive turnout. Meanwhile, voters are focused on prices, and trans issues barely register.

Fairness for every family in Hamilton County ⚖️

Tiffany Evans is a Magistrate and Mediator who has spent nearly 20 years serving families across six roles in the court system, from child advocate to guardian ad litem. She has handled hundreds of civil protection order cases and sits on the Hamilton County Domestic Violence Task Force.

Her uncle and closest friends are part of our community, and she runs on a simple belief: the measure of a society is how it treats its children and its most vulnerable. When kids are raised in loving homes of every kind, our whole world is better.

Manisha Kotian has spent more than 30 years in law and as a trained mediator, including EEO cases barring discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. She represented abused and neglected children through the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati, served in AmeriCorps, and for 20 years ran a union heavy-highway concrete company.

In her words, LGBTQ+ rights are human rights, and everyone who enters her courtroom deserves a fair trial free of bias.

Lorain County has a fighter on the ballot 🗳️

Mike Baker is a small business owner, a Scout leader, and a dad of four from Elyria. He founded First Choice Photography in 2008 and has spent 15 years running youth programs, from Little League to district Scouting.

He will vote for the Ohio Fairness Act and a statewide ban on conversion therapy for minors. He would have voted no on HB 68, SB 104, and HB 8. And he makes the case for equality the way it needs to be made in a district like his: basic fairness, economic growth, and personal freedom.

883,000 LGBTQ+ adults live in Ohio.

New research from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation estimates
that 11.29 percent of Ohio adults are LGBTQ+, drawn from Census
Household Pulse Survey data collected between 2021 and 2024. That
puts Ohio among the 40 states above 10 percent.

The jump from earlier estimates is a methodology story, not a
population story. Nobody suddenly came out. Self-administered
surveys give people more privacy than phone interviews, and
people report their identity more honestly when they have it. 🔵
