💡“Ohio law does not prohibit bedsharing. Parents have the legal authority to make infant sleep decisions for their family. However, parents should be aware of the protocols regarding CPS & infant death and hospital/provider policies
and [parents should carefully] document your safe sleep practices (non-smoker, sober caregivers, appropriate sleep surface, etc)”

Rachel Green is a mother of 2 and a client advocate at a local pregnancy support center in Cincinnati, OH. She has seen firsthand the effects of a maternal care system that lacks compassionate and accessible options for women and mothers. Rachel recognizes the need for birth centers in Ohio, but especially the need for maternal care in the many parts of Ohio that have none at all.

Back in March, Ohio House Bill 537 was up for testimonial hearing in Columbus.
Over 100 Ohio residents submitted their stories in favor of the bill that would license all midwives, open birth centers and essentially make Ohio a better place to birth and raise families.

We’d love to highlight some of these testimonies in hopes that our mission is transparent and proven to be supported by parents, practitioners and advocates alike

One of the easiest fixes? Birth centers.

We are on a mission to open the birth centers in Ohio
This requires legislative change and legislative change requires DOLLARS
