It's 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 and your Cincinnati firefighters are here to help you master a new Superpower: Safe Charging 🔌!

- 𝙁𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙙? 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙪𝙣𝙥𝙡𝙪𝙜. Leaving a device plugged in can increase heat and stress on the battery.
- 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙨 𝙝𝙤𝙩? 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙥 𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙩. Stop using your device if it feels very hot, starts to swell, smells, smokes, or makes hissing sounds. A damaged battery can overheat and start a fire.
- 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙨, 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚. The batteries for e-bikes, scooters and power tools are larger and store more energy. Fires can grow quickly if the battery fails.

These small actions can have 𝗕𝗜𝗚 impacts on the safety of you and your loved ones.

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001 - a day that changed our nation and our fire service forever. We lost 343 members of the FDNY that morning, brothers and sisters who ran toward danger so others could get to safety. Their courage set the standard every firefighter has carried since. We will never forget.

To our CFD Members: thank you for choosing this work, knowing what it can ask of you.

To the loved ones who support our Members: thank you for the foundation you provide so our firefighters can do the work of keeping our City safe.

CFD loves spending time with our smallest residents ❤️!

📸 1: Neighborhood kids in Elmwood jumped in to help the 38s load their hose back onto the truck, and insisted on a photo with the 38s and 8s before they left.

📸 2 - 4: Ladder 31 members presented to children at the UC Arlitt Child Development Center, where they learned about how to stay safe in situations with fire 🔥.
