📸 1: Neighborhood kids in Elmwood jumped in to help the 38s load their hose back onto the truck, and insisted on a photo with the 38s and 8s before they left.

📸 2 - 4: Ladder 31 members presented to children at the UC Arlitt Child Development Center, where they learned about how to stay safe in situations with fire 🔥.

To our firefighters, dispatchers, and staff who are moms: you ride the rigs, work the radios, and run the operations behind every call we answer. You also pack the lunches, coach the team, and show up for story time before bed. You make it all look effortless, even when we know it isn't easy.

To the moms who raised the men and women of CFD: thank you. You taught them to run toward those in need. You shaped the courage, the integrity, and the heart they bring to this job every shift. Every life saved in this city traces back, in some way, to you.

To every mom in the CFD family — the ones wearing the badge and the ones who raised someone who does — we see all of it. We're proud of all of it.

The Cincinnati Fire Department is proud to introduce 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝗿𝘀 — a community fire safety program built on a simple idea: the people next door can be your first line of defense in an emergency.

Knock on a door. Start a conversation. Walk through a few quick safety questions together — working smoke alarms, clear exits, a family escape plan. It's a small effort that can make a huge difference, especially for older adults, families with young children, and neighbors with medical needs.
