During Operation Summer Heat 2.0, the and our law enforcement partners achieved significant results: 8,900 arrests, 5,013 weapons recovered, and over 1,400 child victims located or identified nationwide. In Southern Ohio, strong partnerships led to 170 arrests, 28 weapons recovered, 44 seizures of illegal drugs, and 10 child victims located. Together, we’re making a powerful impact against crime.

Members of the 's Southern Ohio Cold Case Task Force, Cincinnati Police Department and Springfield Township Police Department were honored at the Crime Stoppers awards program for outstanding work to identify the remains of Baby Angel. After 47 years, investigative genetic genealogy helped identify her as Velina Jeter. The investigation into her death continues.

agents have arrested Justin James Jackson on charges alleging he committed child s*x crimes against a 12-year-old victim in Kansas. Jackson was already a registered s*x offender.
