Spring has sprung at the Metz House!
The Metz House is named after Dr. Charles Louis Metz, famous archaeologist, obstetrician, school board member and "Mr. Madisonville."
It is said that he delivered over 5000 babies across the East Side of Cincinnati, arriving in his horse-drawn carriage. The Madisonville Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation will be renovating this house for offices, including their own space on the first floor. Follow the renovations here.

The biography of Dr. Metz is available for sale at the Metz House, so come on by and purchase a copy and, if time permits, we'll throw in a House tour for free. We're usually here business hours Monday through Friday, but you many want to call first in case we're in meetings.
If you want to learn more about Dr. Metz and his work (both archaeological and medical) you can read this book by Ken Tankersley and Robert Newman. Lots great Madisonville history and some wonderful historic photos.
