LONG POST ALERT:
There's so much festive fun at the Library this week! 🤯

🦄 Kids, join us Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 4:30pm at our Miami Township Branch for Fantastical Creatures - learn the stories and origins behind mythological animals and make your own magical beastie to take home! (Link to register is in the comments, parents!)

Some other fun and festive things happening across the Library this week include:
- Creature Feature at the Union Township Branch Monday, Oct. 19 at 6pm: Personalize a miniature art print by adding seasonal features. There is another session of this program Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 6pm. (Adults)

- Pumpkin Putt-Putt at the Goshen Branch Monday, Oct. 19 at 6pm: Try your luck at our holiday-themed putt-putt course! (Kids)

- A History of Clermont County at the Batavia Branch Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 6pm: Local author and historian Gary Knepp has travelled the highways and byways of Clermont for 40 years. He's collected fascinating stories about the people and events of this county. Enjoy as he shares stories of this unique place. Bring some of your favorite yarns of the county with you. Knepp will be selling his books after the program. (Adults)

- Creatures of the Night Masquerade Ball at the Felicity Branch Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 5pm: Wear your costume and join us for a haunting evening of masquerade fun featuring nocturnal animals from the Clermont County Park District, snacks, and a costume contest. (Kids, Teens)

- Field to Forage at the Bethel Branch Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 6pm: If you've ever wondered, "Can I eat this?!" while looking at the weeds in your backyard, then this is the presentation for you! Samantha Ferreralli of HedgeStone Farm will teach us all about our common edible, wild plants and how to forage for them safely while we snack on foods made from foraged plants from our area. (Adults)

- Winnie-the-Pooh's 100th Birthday Party at the Miami Township Branch Saturday, Oct. 24 at 10:30am: Join us in celebrating the Silly Old Bear's 100th Birthday! We will play fiddlesticks, help Eeyore find his tail, make a craft or two, and keep the rumbly tumblies away with a birthday treat! (Pre-K, Kids)

- Monster Mash Dance Bash at the Amelia Branch Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2pm: Twirl through for a glowing good time! Kids are encouraged to wear costumes and fall into the beats at this not-so-spooky, glow-in-the-dark afternoon dance party. Kids of all ages are welcome to drop in to dance and dash! (Pre-K, Kids)

- Heritage Food & Herbs at the Miami Township Branch Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2pm: Naturalist Carol Mundy brings you this program, taking a step back in time to learn about daily life in Ohio at the time of statehood. You'll learn a little about how we managed our households, what kinds of food we ate, and the herbs we collected for food and medicine. Carol will bring food prepared in the tradition of the early 19th century for sampling! (Adults)
