Greetings Urban League Colleagues & Friends,
Each journey begins with a single step. Today, we invite you to consider taking that first step on this unique Urban League journey or to extend this program opportunity to a colleague or friend by applying to the Urban Leader program. The Urban Leader program (formerly known as AALDP) is in its 24th year and has graduated more than 675 leaders who are part of the fabric of the Greater Cincinnati community and communities all over this country.
The ten-month leadership experience is both challenging and stimulating. The Urban Leader program provides a rare opportunity for leaders of color to work together in the discovery of self, delve into critical community issues and explore lessons in leadership from senior leaders/advisers while refining personal and professional leadership skills.
The Urban Leader journey is one that is mentally, physically and philosophically challenging. During the experience we explore concepts of personal, professional and community leadership. You will find that Urban Leaders provides a unique experience among other personal and professional development opportunities. The testimonials of AALDP/Urban Leader Alumni from across the professional spectrum give witness to the value equation that the program offers. If you chose to join the upcoming class, yours will be a journey of discovery that will offer you the opportunity to open doors and make a difference.
The application deadline for the 2016-2017 Urban Leaders program is Monday, August 29, 2016. Please direct any questions, comments or concerns to Patricia Bready, Director of Urban Leader activities by calling (513) 487-6512 or (513) 300-3589 or via email at [email protected]
