Explore cinematic storytelling with former Duncanson Artist-in-Residence, Ya'Ke Smith 🎞️

You're invited to explore storytelling through art and film with two FREE events this month! On Friday, June 12, join Ya'Ke Smith and University of Cincinnati professor, Don Hancock, at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music - CCM for a filmmaking masterclass. Then, come to the museum on Sunday, June 14 for a special Juneteenth screening of Smith's film "Juneteenth: Faith & Freedom" followed by a Q&A with Duncanson Program Manager, Kareem A. Simpson!

🌞Taft Café Summer Hours 🌞

Due to weddings and events happening at the museum this season, the Taft Café has adjusted hours! Here's the schedule:

- Wednesday–Friday | 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
- Saturday | 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Sunday–Monday | 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
- Tuesday | Closed

Café hours may be adjusted Friday-Sunday throughout the summer. Please check OpenTable for availability.

Preservation in the Park with the Taft's President and CEO 🎤🌳

On May 28 at 5:30 p.m. in Bellevue Hill Park, join Cincinnati Preservation for their monthly FREE lecture series! In 2026, the series celebrates Hamilton County Stories for America 250. This month they are celebrating Ohio Creates by welcoming the Taft's President and CEO, Rebekah "Becky" Beaulieu to the stage to talk about the history of the Taft Museum of Art. Ph.D.

This conversation features reflections from 2024 Duncanson Artist-in-Residence, Tunde Wey, on his residency—where food becomes a powerful lens for social discourse—and Anissa Lewis's collaboration on one of his public events. Together, they explore how art, community, and conversation intersect.
