Snow Update: A Level 2 Snow Emergency has been declared by the Hamilton County Sheriff.
Because snowfall is ongoing and traffic volumes remain high, plowing all 400 Township streets right now would be ineffective—the snow would quickly cover roads again. To use our time, equipment, and crews wisely, we’ve shifted our focus to hills and key connector roads, where safety impacts are greatest.
Once the snow tapers off, crews will move back through neighborhoods to fully clear streets. This approach also helps prevent unnecessary wear on equipment and avoids exhausting drivers before the most effective work can be done.
Please remove your cars from the street so our drivers can safely clear the roads.

Our Fire Department’s Emergency Medical Services respond to all types of calls during their shifts, but there is one call that always gets a lot of attention. Recently, they responded to a women in labor. She delivered a healthy baby girl shortly after arriving at the hospital. Yesterday, the team on that call was able to properly introduce themselves to Springfield Township’s newest resident and deliver some essentials to mom and baby. We love being able to follow up on calls like this and make sure our first responders are recognized for the care they provide!
