Severe Weather Awareness Week is underway!
We're doing our part to remind everyone of the difference between a severe weather or tornado "watch" and "warning" by once again sharing this easy to understand explanation below from some clever firefighters. Remember:

Watch 🟧 : We have the ingredients to make tacos.
Warning 🟥 : We are having tacos. Right now.

This past Friday, as part of our partnership with the Hamilton County OVI Task Force, we conducted a checkpoint looking for impaired drivers.

Officers had contact with 507 vehicles and only diverted one driver for investigation. No violations were encountered.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but... No siren test today. Well, bad news for fans of incredibly loud sirens, anyway. For everyone else...

𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤 hear an Outdoor Warning Siren activate today, check local weather/news stations for information on current or dangerous weather conditions that may have activated the warning and respond appropriately.

The Outdoor Warning Siren System Test rescheduled for today, March 11, 2026, is CANCELLED due to severe weather. The next scheduled monthly test will be Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at noon.
