Kona Ice Friday!!

April is School Library Month, but at Colerain Elementary School, Jenny Spitzley works hard to create a library culture that celebrates literacy year-round!

In October, students from Mrs. Gall’s 5th-grade class turned pumpkins into their favorite book characters, and they were displayed in the library for all to see.

In December, students got in the holiday spirit with a celebration of The Polar Express.

To celebrate Read Across America Week in March, students participated in fun book-themed days. Favorite book character day was definitely the best! Students got to shop for books of their own at the Scholastic book fair.

Thank you, Mrs. Spitzley, for spreading the love of reading to Colerain Elementary students all year long!

Our kickoff is Tuesday, 3/17 and the big Fun Run event is Friday, 3/27. This is a fun way to support our school while getting the kids excited and active!

We had a great time at our Kindergarten Valentine Fun Night! We listened to a story and sequenced it. Practiced CVC words using hearts and sorted Valentine trail mix. We had a great turn out!!
