We’re excited that our new neighbors, have officially moved in to the Mount Washington business district! ☕🍪

As we continue to grow, we wanted to highlight the many convenient parking options available throughout the neighborhood. Whether you’re stopping by for a coffee, a sweet treat, or visiting one of our local businesses, there are several nearby places to park and explore all that Mount Washington has to offer.
Check out the parking map below before your next visit!

We are very sorry, everyone. We waited until the absolute last minute to cancel the Summer Kickoff, but out of respect to our entertainers, vendors and guests we needed to make a decision. Even if the rain stops by tomorrow morning the park is going to be a soggy, muddy mess and we wouldn't be able to put on the full event you have come to expect. We will be working to reschedule the Summer Kickoff in the near future, so stay tuned!

Mt. Washington Community Council pauses to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. ♥️🤍💙

🇺🇸Their sacrifice protects the freedoms we cherish, and we hold their families in our hearts.

As we gather with friends and neighbors, may we take a moment to reflect, remember, and express our gratitude. 🎗️🙏

🇺🇸Wishing everyone a peaceful and meaningful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Did you know⁉️…

The Mt. Washington neighborhood flag is part of the Cincy Flags project — a citywide effort that created flags for all 52 Cincinnati neighborhoods❓

The Mt. Washington flag’s history is tied to that initiative, which launched around 2018–2019 and involved community feedback, redesigns, and symbolism specific to each neighborhood.

According to CincyFlags, the Mt. Washington flag is built around the neighborhood’s most iconic landmark: the Mt. Washington Water Tower.

Here’s what each element symbolizes:

💙Blue — represents the water tower itself, a defining visual anchor of the neighborhood.

💚Green — symbolizes Stanbery Park, one of Mt. Washington’s most beloved green spaces.

🤍White — stands for the neighborhood’s height and prominence, reflecting its elevated position.

🌇Radiating lines — the lines coming out of the top of the tower represent its visibility across the city.

🏛How the Flag Came to Be:

The flag was created as part of a year‑and‑a‑half design effort funded by a $20,000 grant. 💰💰

Eight design teams worked with neighborhood councils, gathered community feedback, and refined the designs to ensure each flag reflected local identity.

📣The flags were officially unveiled in 2019.

👋👋Hey neighbors! 👋👋

👵🏼🧓🏼👴The Mt. Washington Community Council is exploring a new idea to help more people plug into the fun, creativity, and momentum happening in our neighborhood — subcommittees. 👨🏻👦🏾👩🏼

🕑🕜Think of these as small, flexible groups where you can get involved as much or as little as you want. No big time commitment. No long meetings. Just chances to help shape the community in ways that fit your life. 🧮⏳

💡 What does “getting involved” look like? 💡

Have an idea for an event you’d love to lead or co‑lead?
Amazing — speak up. 🙋🏻

Want to help with one small part of an event?
Also amazing — speak up. 🙋‍♂️

Prefer behind‑the‑scenes tasks?
We’ve got those too. 🙋🏽‍♀️

🎃🍺 Examples of low‑lift ways to help:

Help pick the beer/entertainment/food trucks for Pumpkin Chuck 🎶🎼

Help with Banner installation in the business district 🇺🇸

Help create a community newsletter 📝

❌Maintain crossing flags ❌

Share ideas for new events, beautification projects, or ways to bring neighbors together

🌟 Why this matters🌟
Mt. Washington is full of people with great ideas, big hearts, and busy schedules.

Subcommittees give everyone a chance to contribute in a way that feels doable, meaningful, and fun. 🤸🤸‍♀️

If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to help… I just don’t have time for a full board role,” this is exactly for you.
