Chilton County E-9-1-1

10/10/2026

Isaias has now moved through our area, leaving behind some light rain and occasional wind gusts.

We have received a few reports of trees and power lines down. Please use caution as you head out this morning. Many rural roads throughout the county have not yet been traveled, so there may be hazards that have not been reported.

Please report any trees or power lines blocking roadways to 205-755-1120. Never approach a downed power line. Treat all downed lines as energized and dangerous.

Our dispatchers have been fielding storm-related calls throughout the night and have done an excellent job, as always! Our day shift is now in for the day and getting settled in as we prepare for additional calls when more people get out on the roads.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and encourage you to take your time, stay alert, and look out for one another.

Have a great day, Chilton County! Stay safe!

We are closely monitoring the weather ahead of Hurricane Isaias and are already putting our storm preparedness plans into action alongside Chilton County EMA and the Chilton County Sheriff's Office.

We are also preparing for additional staffing throughout the duration of the storm to make sure we are ready to handle whatever comes our way.

There is no need to panic, but now is the time to prepare. Have a plan in place for you and your family, keep an eye on the weather, and be ready to act if conditions change.

As always, we’re here to serve you!

Stay safe, stay informed, and take care of one another!
