📚 LIBBY USERS — IMPORTANT UPDATE
OverDrive/Libby has begun rolling out its new library card verification process earlier than we expected.
Some patrons may now see a message in Libby asking them to verify their library card before borrowing an item or placing a hold. According to the instructions from Libby, you’ll need to go to Menu → Verify Card → Verify Card, and then sign in using your library card and PIN/password. Verify your library card in Lib…
When prompted, please enter:
• Your library card barcode — this is the number located on the back of your library card
• Your library PIN/password
⚠️ If you have never set up a PIN/password with the library, you will need to create one before you can complete the verification. Please contact your library and staff can help you get one set up.
We apologize for the inconvenience and for the short notice. This verification requirement is being implemented by OverDrive/Libby and is not a change initiated by your local library. Unfortunately, the rollout began earlier than we had anticipated.
If Libby asks you to verify your card and you run into problems, please contact your library. We’ll be happy to help you get everything working again.
Thank you for your patience as everyone adjusts to this change! 📱📖
