Clare Parks and Recreation The Recreation Department is committed to offering quality programs to all residents of the City.

The Recreation Department was established in 2005 after the creation of the second Master Parks and Recreation plan for the City of Clare. The mission of the City of Clare Recreation Department is as follows:

โ€œThe mission of the City of Clare Recreation Department is to contribute to the positive development and well being of the community through leadership and the provision of parks, trails, and recreational facilities. This will be accomplished through partnership and cooperation with other recreation service providers in the community in order to maximize all available resources. The driving focus of Parks and Recreation is to encourage health, fitness, cultural, recreational, educational, and social opportunities in our community.โ€

The Recreation Department is responsible for creating and implementing recreation programs and services to meet identified needs of groups within the city of Clare and for coordinating city efforts with sports and recreation partner organizations that are providing recreation services for the community.

We are currently in the process of updating our 5-Year MDNR Parks & Recreation Master Plan, and we would love your feedback and input!

Our Master Plan serves as a guide for planning future park improvements, recreational opportunities, and community projects. Having an approved Master Plan in place is also a requirement for qualifying for future Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) grant funding.

Your input helps us understand what matters most to our community and how we can continue to improve our parks, facilities, and recreational programs for everyone to enjoy! ๐Ÿ’š
