Good luck to our Clarinda Brokaw FFA Parliamentary Procedure team as they compete at the National FFA Convention this week! We’re proud to have them representing the state of Iowa!

We also have other members attending National Convention who will have the opportunity to grow their career and leadership skills, focus on personal development, and make memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. We’re excited for all the opportunities this week has to offer and can’t wait to see everyone learn, grow, and represent our chapter!

🌟 SW CDE Day Results! 🌟

Congratulations to our FFA members who competed at SW CDE Day earlier this week! We are proud of everyone who represented our chapter and put their skills and knowledge to the test!

Congratulations to our top finishers:

🌱 Agronomy: Noah Wellhausen – 8th place individually
🥩 Meats Judging: 6th place team finish (Kelsey, Haidyn, Micoy), with Kelsey Stephens placing 5th individually
🌸 Floriculture #1: 4th place team finish (Bella, Hadley, Olivia, Audrey), with Olivia Moore placing 6th individually

We also had members compete in the following events:

The Brokaw FFA Soils Judging team competed in district and state events recently. On Wednesday, September 23, our team competed in the Southwest District Soils Judging event at the Armstrong Research Farm near Lewis, Iowa. The team received a Gold rating and placed 3rd overall out of 26 district teams, qualifying for the state event. Tatum Comer placed 2nd overall and Lily Weinreich placed 8th overall out of 340 total individuals competing. At the Iowa FFA State Soils Evaluation Career Development Event held in Ames, Iowa, on Thursday, October 8, the Brokaw team received a Silver rating. Team members were Kelsey Stephens, Tatum Comer, Lily Weinreich, Cain Wellhausen, and alternate Griffin Phillips. Congratulations to these members!

Our Brokaw FFA Soil Judging team competed at the Southwest District FFA Soils Evaluation CDE today at the Armstrong Research Farm near Lewis, Iowa. 26 district teams competed, with our Brokaw team finishing in 3rd place! Individually, Tatum Comer finished as district reserve champion, and Lily Weinreich placed 8th. Kelsey Stephens, Cain Wellhausen, and Griffin Phillips also competed for the Brokaw team. They will compete at the state competition on October 8th. Congratulations to our Soil Judging team!
