The Cost of Drunk Driving
• The average DUI costs $10,000 in attorney’s fees, fines, court costs, lost time at work, higher insurance rates, and more.
• The financial impact from impaired-driving crashes is devastating: Crashes in which alcohol was the cause resulted in $57 billion in economic costs.
• If you’re caught drinking and driving, you can face jail time. That arrest will follow you for many years to come.
• Drinking and driving can cause you to lose your driver’s license and your vehicle. This could prevent you from getting to work, resulting in lost wages and, potentially, job loss.

Labor Day weekend is for making memories, not meeting law enforcement. If you drink, plan a sober ride home. Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.

Labor Day es para disfrutar con amigos y familia, no para tener encuentros con las autoridades. Si tomas, planifica un viaje seguro y sobrio a casa. Maneja Tomado y Serás Arrestado.

🎉 Welcome Back, Cyclones! Tomorrow morning is the big day! 🎒📚
As we kick off the new school year, please take a moment to review the drop-off and pick-up traffic rules at the Elementary School:

📍 Location: Idaho Street (between 2nd Ave N and 3rd Ave N)

⏰ Hours: 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM & 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM (Applies to early dismissals as well)

⬆️ Direction: ONE-WAY NORTHBOUND ONLY (towards 3rd Ave)

Key Traffic Rules:

Approach from the South: All vehicles must enter heading North on Idaho Street.

Use Two Lanes: Fill the curbside lane first. Once full, form a second parallel row.

Keep Stop Sign Clear: Do not block the area near the stop sign so vehicles can safely exit.

Emergency Access: Keep the far West lane completely clear at all times for emergency vehicles.

Remember don't don't leave your vehicle in lane 2 drop off, we have noticed this back's up traffic and doesn't flow the best.

Thank you for helping us keep our students, staff, and drivers safe. Have a fantastic school year! 🏈⚡

The Clark Police Department received a rifle -rated ballistic shield from United States Deputy Sheriff's Association
I am writing on behalf of the Clark Police Department to express our sincere gratitude to the United States Deputy Sheriffs' Association for the generous donation of a rifle-rated ballistic shield. This vital addition to our equipment significantly enhances our tactical capabilities and elevates overall officer safety.

Law enforcement officers today face increasingly complex and unpredictable operational environments, even in rural communities. The donation of this specialized, rifle-rated ballistic armor provides our officers with critical, high-level protection during high-risk calls, active threat deployments, and critical incident responses.

Support from organizations like the USDSA directly bridges the gap between our town's safety needs and available resources. Your unwavering commitment to equipping and protecting law enforcement personnel across the country does not go unnoticed.

On behalf of the Clark Police Department and the citizens of Clark, thank you for your generosity, dedication, and steadfast support of small-town law enforcement.

🤔 POP QUIZ: Have you noticed the striking new look on Commercial St.? While they look great, do you know what those double yellow lines actually mean?
🚫 They are a hard NO U-Turn zone! 'The Clark Park' or any crossing of these lines to park on the opposite side isn't allowed. It's for all our safety! Let's all keep Commercial St. safe. Like and Share! 🚦

I was proud to be a part of this legislation SB98. SB 98 puts improved safeguards in place to protect South Dakota consumers from fraud being perpetrated through virtual currency kiosks located throughout South Dakota. We still have work to do to make sure our citizens our safe from the ongoing threats of the fraud. Also, Bitcoin depot recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. They were an opponent to SB98. Thanks to everyone that helped get this over the finish line.

The City of Clark SD - Government sirens are not working at this time. We are working to get them fixed. If severe weather is forecasted please use a weather radio, local radio stations or TV.

Beginning Wednesday, June 24, will begin working on a couple of our roads. The work will begin on South Smith St. at the intersection of Hwy 212 and go down to 182nd St or Clark County 35. No vehicles should be parked on this stretch of S. Smith St. to allow the microsurfacing to coat the existing asphalt in place. This segment will remain open with flagger stations and a pilot car.

After this is complete they will move to N. Commercial St from Hwy 212 to 7th Ave NE. All vehicles will need to park elsewhere for the day this is completed. These 6 blocks will be closed for the day, so you must find an alternate route to travel and park on. NO DRIVING AROUND BARRICADES. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

06/23/2026

We will be testing storm sirens today. Hopefully around noon.
