As you explore town, keep an eye out for the historic kiosks tucked throughout the community. They reveal stories of copper fortunes, political scandals, bitter feuds, railroad empires and the larger-than-life characters who helped shape Clarkdale and the American West.

Our newest blog starts with one of the biggest personalities of them all: William Andrews Clark, the copper magnate whose story and name became forever tied to Clarkdale.

Read Stories of Clarkdale: Fortunes, Scandals, Feuds & Magnates and add a little history to your next visit.

Scattered throughout town, Clarkdale’s historic information kiosks offer glimpses into the people, industries and events that shaped the community. One of Clarkdale’s best places to play, explore and stay awhile is officially one of Arizona’s best, too.

The Selna Mongini S.T.E.A.M. Park was recently recognized at the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association Conference as Best of the Best – Outstanding Facility, Population Under 25K.

Families can zip, climb and play, wander through pollinator gardens, discover interactive S.T.E.A.M. and sustainability features, enjoy local art, shoot some hoops or simply find a shady spot to relax.

Make sure to add this award-winning community space to your next Clarkdale visit.

There’s a new place to settle in on Main Street. 🍸

The historic Newstand is open again in downtown Clarkdale, bringing new life to a space that dates back to 1912. Think exposed brick walls, tufted couches, a game of pool, handcrafted cocktails and plenty of cozy corners to gather with friends.

Add in pizzas, sandwiches and rotating specials, and it’s the kind of place where you may stop in for a drink and decide to stay awhile.
