Only a few allocations remaining!

Conservation drainage practices are being implemented at NO COST to the producer through the Minnesota River Valley Conservation Drainage Turn-Key Project.

Practices include drainage water management control structures and saturated buffers which can improve water quality and regulate flow. Practices are compatible with new or existing tile systems.

Eligible counties include:
Lac qui Parle Soil & Water Conservation District
Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District
Lyon Soil & Water Conservation District
Renville County SWCD
Yellow Medicine SWCD

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for their Soil Health Equipment Grants. These cost share funds can be used to purchase or retrofit equipment that supports soil building practices. 📅Applications due August 31st.

Have you heard about the Ag BMP program?

Administered through the SWCD and your bank, this program provides 3% interest loans to farmers, rural landowners, and agriculture supply businesses to implement practices that improve water quality.

Farm equipment, erosion control structures, manure management projects, and even some well or septic repairs may be eligible for these low interest loans.

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for climate friendly agricultural practices incentive payments! Payments are offered through the MN Ag Water Quality program with certified producers receiving slightly higher payment rates.

Practices include:
🌼Conservation Cover
🌾Pasture and Hay Planting
🌱Conservation Crop Rotation
🌳Tree and Shrub Establishment

Payments are flat rate, up to $10,000, with over $1.2 million being awarded total!
