A big thank you to the men and women of our department who worked “Operation Cat Bowl.” 💙

This operation took planning, teamwork, long hours, and dedication, and our officers stepped up and represented our department with professionalism from the football game, to the checkpoints, to the downtown detail.

A special thank you to Sgt. Morgan for putting together the operational plan and coordinating the details for approval, and to Assistant Chief Bilbro for working alongside our officers throughout the operation. Your leadership, preparation, and support are greatly appreciated.

Thank you also to the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance and partnership throughout the operation. Working together helps keep our community safe.

Most importantly, everyone went home safe. That is always the goal.

To every officer who gave up their time off to serve—thank you for your sacrifice and commitment. It does not go unnoticed.

Great teamwork, great visibility, and a job well done! 💙

⚠️ POWER OUTAGE & TRAFFIC SAFETY NOTICE ⚠️

The Clarksdale Police Department is aware of power outages affecting portions of the city. As a result, some traffic signals may be temporarily out of service.

REMEMBER: If a traffic signal is completely dark, treat the intersection as a FOUR-WAY STOP.

• Come to a complete stop before entering the intersection.

• Yield to vehicles that arrived before you.

• If vehicles arrive at the same time, yield to the vehicle on your right.

• Watch carefully for pedestrians and other motorists.

• Slow down, stay alert, and do not assume other drivers will stop.

Please use extra caution while traveling throughout the city until power and traffic signals are fully restored.

Take your time, be patient, and arrive safely.

Safe travels, Clarksdale!
