Step into the earliest chapters of Clarksville’s history at Sevier Station, Montgomery County’s oldest standing structure. 🛖

Sevier Station: A Land Between Two Worlds is an annual commemoration that reflects on the November 1794 attack on the Sevier family homestead, a tragic event that claimed six lives and left a lasting impact on the region. Led by historical interpreter Roxanne Jenkins, the program will include a solemn ceremony and living history demonstrations.

Guests will learn about the Sevier family’s experience while also exploring the broader story of the frontier, including the displacement of Indigenous communities, the loss of ancestral lands, and the conflict that followed the arrival of settlers. Join us as we remember the people connected to this history and preserve the stories that helped shape Montgomery County.

Swan Lake Sports Complex in Clarksville, Tennessee, has something for everyone. The summer months are filled with splashes from the nearby pool, the familiar dink on the pickleball courts and children's laughter from the playground filling the air. It's busy and, for some, the small changes to the park after a recent renovation made a difference in their ability to enjoy what it has to offer.

October was full of ways to connect, learn, and grow, while making lasting memories with Clarksville Parks & Recreation! 🎃

Our open play sports and karate classes encourage physical activity and self-confidence, while our Fall Break Camps gave children the chance to build new friendships and take a needed break from school to play and express themselves. Through our programs such as Connect 50+, Meet, Make, & Mingle workshops, and the Ladies Tee Party, we help community members discover new interests, develop skills, and build connections that extend beyond our facilities and events. We create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Our adaptive programs, such as LifeSkills for Adults, provide opportunities for individuals with support needs to practice everyday tasks, build independence, and celebrate personal achievements, while educational experiences, like Historian with a Brush, connect our community with individuals who want to share their knowledge with others.

From Fright on Franklin to breaking ground on the Bel-Aire Skate Park, we strive to create spaces for families to come together, create traditions, and make timeless memories. Every class, camp, event, and program represents something more than just a scheduled activity; they create a sense of belonging, support personal growth, and bring people together through shared experiences. We invest time and energy into making a positive difference in the everyday lives of the people we serve. We are proud to offer opportunities for everyone to try something new, build relationships, and feel connected to the place they call home.
