We are closed on Monday, October 12th for Indigenous Peoples Day and Columbus Day. We will also be closed on Tuesday, October 13th for staff to attend the NCLS annual meeting. Regular hours resume on Wednesday, October 14th from 9am-5pm. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

We are pleased to announce a $10,000 grant to the The Hawn Memorial Library in Clayton to help purchase seven new desktop computers and computer furniture.

The project will enable the library to enhance digital inclusivity. When complete, library officials plan to partner with Thousand Islands High School to offer job resources and online learning platforms at its new computer lab.

Grant funding was made possible with support from the CAR-FRESHNER Corporation Charitable Fund at the Community Foundation and the Library Impact Grant Program of the Northern New York Community Foundation.

***IMPORTANT UPDATE***
Though we are happy there are so many kiddos interested in Lego Club, due to the amount of participants we can NO LONGER WALK STUDENTS from the school to the library. I am happy to keep doing Lego Club on Thursdays from 3:30-5, however walking with 50 students downtown of varying ages is not safe for everyone. Please be on the lookout for a note home in backpacks about this change. Anyone with questions can reach out to Mrs. Orvis at the library (315)686-3762.

We are so excited to be starting Lego Club next week! We have had a great turn out of kids who are interested. Because we have had such a great turnout of kids, I am wondering if there are any teens, or pre-teens, who could help out with the kiddos on Thursdays? We hate to interrupt your pumpkin spice latte, but Christmas time is fastly approaching. 🥰 Please keep Hawn Memorial Library's Tiny Tim's Emporium in mind if you have any items you wish to donate. We plan to hold it again this year, with the addition of the once loved tradition - Baubles and Bling! ✨
