To help promote awareness and understanding of our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Ms. Singletary is excited to host MTSS Spirit Week: October 19-23 with the theme:
"Success Looks Different on Everyone!"
Throughout the week, we will celebrate growth, perseverance, collaboration, and goal setting while engaging our scholars in activities that reinforce the idea that everyone learns and succeeds in different ways.
Spirit Week Dress-Up Days
πΏ Monday, October 19 β Decades Day "Growth Never Goes Out of Style!" Dress in attire from your favorite decade. Scholars will contribute to a Then & Now Growth Wall by sharing something they can do now that they could not do before.
π Tuesday, October 20 β Turn It Around Tuesday Wear clothing backwards or inside out (while remaining school appropriate). Scholars will participate in a "Try Another Way" Challenge to emphasize flexibility, problem-solving, and perseverance when faced with challenges.
π₯ Wednesday, October 21 β Squad Day "We're Better Together!" Coordinate outfits with your grade level, team, friends, or colleagues. Scholars will engage in a team-building activity focused on collaboration and working together toward a common goal.
π Thursday, October 22 β Wacky Tacky Day "Success Looks Different on Everyone!" Wear mismatched clothing, crazy socks, bright colors, or fun patterns. Scholars will complete a "What Helps Me Learn?" activity to identify strategies, supports, and strengths that help them succeed.
β Friday, October 23 β Dreaming of Success Wear school-appropriate pajamas. Scholars will create a Dream Big Goal Card highlighting a goal they hope to accomplish this school year and the steps they can take to achieve it.
Thank you for helping make this a fun and meaningful week for our lion scholars. MTSS is about ensuring every student receives the support they need to grow and succeed, and this spirit week is a wonderful opportunity to reinforce that message schoolwide!
